Ages 15–17 · 55th Cork Carrigaline
Ventures
Your ideas. Your next adventure.
Ventures take greater ownership of Scouting, turning shared ambitions into adventures with friends and making a difference in their community.
Take on a challenge
Mountain hikes, water activities, expeditions and camps provide space to stretch skills. Community service, national gatherings and possible overseas trips broaden the experience.
Make it happen
Ventures prepare their own trips with adult guidance: finding venues, arranging travel, working out budgets, planning food and organising equipment and activities.
Shape the programme
Flexible teams called Crews work on different tasks. A Venture Executive, made up of young people, helps run the section. Friendship, teamwork and leadership are central to the experience.
What to expect
Ventures meet regularly to prepare for activities and spend time together. Adult Scouters guide them as they take on more responsibility.
